Man kann heute nahezu fast alles über eine Person herausfinden, wenn man sich etwas geschickt anstellt und auch noch bereit ist, etwas dafür zu bezahlen. Dass die Suche ein wenig einfacher ausfällt, wenn die gesuchte Person nicht gerade Hans Müller oder Anna Meier heisst und in einer grosssen Stadt wohnt, werden aufmerksame Leser dieses Blogs sofort verstanden haben. Es ist natürlich viel einfacher, Personen mit etwas selteneren Nachnamen oder ungewöhnlichen Namenskombinationen ausfindig zu machen.

So ist leicht herauszufinden, ob man verheiratet ist und Kinder hat. Anhand der „Posts“ erkennt man oft die politische Einstellung, die Hobbys und Interessen, Aufenthaltsorte in den Ferien und bei Reisen und vieles weitere mehr. Auch die „Freunde“ geben in ihren Kommentaren und Likes eine ganze Menge Informationen über die Zielperson preis.
Je umfangreicher die Datensammlung über die gesuchte Person wird, desto genauer und intensiver kann die Suche gestaltet werden. Ist die gesuchte Person in Vereinen, in Internetforen unterwegs oder hat sie sogar eine eigene Website, findet man meistens ganze Vorstellungsschreiben, Portraits, Fotos und weitere Kontaktangaben. Ganz leicht findet man den Namenstag für Katholiken und Protestanten ebenso leicht wie die Bedeutung und Herkunft des Vornamens und Familiennamens.
Ist die Zielperson kürzlich gestorben, findet man Angaben über sie in Todesanzeigeportalen, in Nachrufen von Zeitungen, auch Angaben über Begräbnis und Friedhof in Portalen wie „find a grave“ oder wie sie alle heissen.
